The Power of Sound for All
Over the past four years doing business as Celestial Sound, one of my goals has been to bring greater awareness of the power of sound to the greater Green Bay Area. Therefore, in addition to sound baths for the general public, I gladly offer speaking engagements to educate others about the many benefits catalyzed through the vibrational frequencies of gongs.
This takes place in different formats and places, but some of the most satisfying opportunities are those that bring the gongs to brand new audiences. For example, demonstrating the gongs and speaking about their benefits to both the Green Bay Area Retired Men’s Club in June, at Brain Awareness Week in March, the Brain Center presentation attendees in August and the Life Long Learning Institute members in September introduced over 300 new people to the power of sound. In these cases, I transform more into Brenda the Teacher than Brenda the Gong Player. And I LOVE it! I have a blast bringing wonder, joy, and surprise to participants as I demonstrate how I play, what tools I use, and teach about the science behind the benefits of sound. (Of course I also PLAY the gongs.) I look forward to a coming presentation in November for Caregivers in the Oneida Nation. Past speaking engagements include the Brown County Caregivers Coalition Fall Event, the Aging and Disability Network and Care Patrol.

Sometimes Community Outreach is a natural by-product of simply experiencing the gongs for oneself. That’s where it becomes important to reach a diverse audience of old to young. That’s why I offer For Hire Services. For example, I was thrilled to play the gongs for over 500 students last spring in two area schools. Just as importantly, the gongs have reached a multitude of precious souls including: hundreds of teachers, dozens of senior citizens in assisted living care facilities, folks in memory care, folks in nursing homes, young and old with autism and brain trauma, folks with or caring for those with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, those in recovery, pregnant women, people pre- and post-surgery, those who have suffered trauma or loss, and the list goes on.
If your community group or organization, business, school, care facility, or sports team (HINT HINT to the Packers!) wishes to understand more or experience for themselves the power of gongs, we can make it happen!

Finally, this deep belief that everyone should have access to and know about the benefits of sound was the impetus for forming the NEW Sound and Vibration Practitioners’ Network. If you or someone you know is a sound practitioner, please join our Network! We support each other’s endeavors and create collaborations. Plus, it’s just wonderful to get to know one another. One example of a result of this network is Sound Energy Collective, a group of four practitioners who occasionally play together (see image below).
Sound vibrations and frequencies are indeed powerful. Sound can catalyze physical healing, carry you to a transcendent state beyond time and space, align you to high frequencies where great mysteries and wonders arise, make you feel refreshed and ready to take on the world, or simply feel rested.
