Self-Care Staycation is Back!

Retreat Season on the Horizon

During the summer months I plan to offer fewer weekly sound baths and more intermittent mini-retreats instead of the five or six usual monthly classes. The first mini-retreat is coming Wednesday, June 25th, so save the date! Register for the second annual Self-care Staycation online NOW. This year our special guest is Becky of HopeChats Coaching who will run a class on the “ABCs of Grief” and offer an optional Forest Bath. I will offer “Self-care Tips Anyone Can Use” as well as an outdoor sound bath. (See class descriptions below.)

Class Descriptions

Self-care Tips Everyone Can Use Introduction with Brenda (50 min)

Taught by author of Me Time: Self-Care in a Challenging World, Brenda, the tools experienced and explained in this class nurture you and bring better balance to your mind, body, and soul. Me Time includes specific step-by-step instructions for each tool while infusing engaging and interesting personal anecdotes. Categories include tools to calm and focus the mind, feed the intellect, nourish the body, feed the spirit, open the heart, and be nourished by nature.

Introduction to ABCs of Grief with Becky (50 min)

Through guided reflection, affirmations, and optional practices, you will recognize everyday loss while creating space for grieving, connection, and hope, one letter at a time.

Outdoor Sound Bath with Brenda (60 min)

Relax to the soothing sounds of the bay of Green Bay and Brenda’s beautiful gongs. We will bring our mats outdoors (weather permitting) and let nature and sound do the rest.

Forest Bathing with Becky (30 min)

A gently guided nature walk in Sensiba Wildlife Area with journals and time for contemplation. (Optional.) Bring walking shoes.

These ladies rocked it! Wow! I truly appreciated the time and effort put forth for the staycation retreat! My heart was filled with gratitude to be able to spend this time with my buddies connecting to self, nature and others.  I loved the time spent in nature, walking, observing, reflecting. A new way of tasting food with gratitude. The grief reflection was beneficial and important.  But my favorite part was the gong meditation and relaxation. I needed that more than I was aware of.  – Constant

Ladies, Very relaxing and calming day.  I felt at ease with a group of women I did not know. Comfortable, I learned a few things on loss I was not aware of.  Thank you, Cheryl R.

Dear Brenda, What a beautiful setting and what a relaxing and reflective day! I appreciated the atmosphere and the experience. The gong session was new for me and such a special experience. Thank you! Stacie

Dear Becky, The forest bathing was enlightening. I started with some thinking of creepy crawlies but your guided meditation changed my mindset.  The ABC’s of Grief was unexpected. I acknowledged a loss I hadn’t thought of and then the letter card was heartwarming. Both were emotional, unexpected but touching. Thank you! Stacie

Dear Brenda and Becky, What a lovely way to spend the afternoon on the Bay in such a beautiful location. Came here with no real plans or goals but left with such inner calmness, peace and insight. Thank you, Olga

I loved my spiritual journey with the self-care staycation.  I feel re-energized and relaxed. It was very soothing to hear the birds, lapping of the water and feel the breeze.  I enjoyed walking through the forest and hugging a tree. Thank you for sharing!! Anonymous

Brenda, Very relaxing, nice group. Thank you so much. Lots of love and good vibes. Linda

Thank you for creating space for rest, relaxation and reset and introspection. Anonymous

Thank you Becky and Brenda, It was an amazing day on the Bay. The forest walk, the gong bath, and the grief and loss processing was very powerful. It was doubly good – my 2nd staycation and I can’t wait until next year!! With love – Deb
